To foster high-quality, standardized prehospital education across regional EMS agencies, improve interagency communication, and build future EMS leadership through shared training and cooperative development.
The Kentuckiana Prehospital Education Consortium (KPEC) was founded in July 2025 by Drs. Evan Kuhl and Aaron Kuzel, bringing together decades of combined experience in emergency medicine, EMS leadership, and clinical education. Built on a foundation of collaboration, our founding group includes dedicated professionals from surrounding hospitals, EMS agencies, and public safety organizations. Together, we are committed to advancing prehospital care through high-quality education, skill development, and regional cooperation. KPEC is currently formalizing its governance structure with a board of directors and pursuing nonprofit status to ensure our mission is sustained for years to come. Our shared goal is to strengthen the capabilities of emergency responders across the region, fostering a connected and resilient network that ultimately improves patient outcomes.
